Kingston has held the top spot among third-party DRAM module suppliers for 23 consecutive years, and TrendForce keeps the company there in its latest rankings by revenue with the Kingston DRAM market share estimated at 62 percent. The analyst firm sized the global DRAM module market at roughly $21.2 billion in revenue for 2025, which works out to a 59 percent increase over the previous year and a sharp acceleration from the 7 percent growth recorded in 2024.

Kingston outpaced the market as well, growing revenue 48 percent year over year in 2025 and reinforcing a lead already well ahead of the rest of the field. The ranking landed in a market where the top five DRAM module suppliers accounted for only 77 percent of total revenue, leaving every other supplier to divide the remainder once Kingston took its nearly two-thirds cut.

What reshaped DRAM demand in 2025

The year opened with uncertainty, as DRAM module manufacturers increased DDR4 inventory levels in response to tariff concerns and to plans by DRAM suppliers to wind down the older memory type. Demand shifted later in 2025 once cloud service providers supporting agentic AI workloads began consuming far more server DRAM, a surge that cut into the allocations available for PC and consumer applications.

Tighter allocations helped push memory prices higher, and the module market finished the year stronger for it. TrendForce also noted that manufacturers leaned harder into industrial and enterprise server markets through 2025. The same report pointed to an acceleration in the shift toward DDR5-based product portfolios, moving the industry further from the DDR4 generation that had dominated the previous buying cycle. TrendForce attributed the market’s expansion to rising DRAM prices and stronger shipment volumes during the second half of the year, a combination that lifted the module market well past the 7 percent growth it managed in 2024.

Where Kingston’s growth is coming from

The year made plain that enterprise, data center, and AI infrastructure have become the primary forces shaping memory demand, and those are the segments where Kingston has been steadily expanding its business-to-business work. Kingston credits its procurement scale for letting it manage inventory through 2025. That inventory position let the company keep supporting channel demand as DRAM pricing strengthened in the second half of the year. Its business-to-business arm delivered strong growth in 2025 as enterprise, data center, and industrial customers turned to Kingston for supply continuity, validated solutions, and long-term support.

The portfolio spans DDR4 to DDR5 modules built for business-critical environments, covering client PCs, gaming systems, servers, data centers, AI infrastructure, and industrial, embedded, surveillance, and automation systems. Kingston says that breadth lets customers navigate evolving technology requirements and scale confidently into next-generation computing workloads, from client machines through to data center deployments.

Maintaining our leadership position in a dynamic and rapidly evolving memory market reflects Kingston’s long-term strategy, strong supplier relationships, and commitment to serving customers worldwide… Our ability to anticipate market transitions, manage inventory effectively, and provide reliable memory solutions enabled us to support partners and customers throughout the year.

The result extends a run that Gadget Pilipinas has tracked for several years, since Kingston was already the top DRAM module supplier for 2022, a year TrendForce measured at 78.12 percent share. The 23-year streak is the headline figure in the release, sitting beside the 62 percent share that keeps Kingston ahead of a field of suppliers that together control far less of the market. The Kingston DRAM market share figure now covers nearly two thirds of a market worth $21.2 billion, and the top position has held for 23 consecutive years.
