Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen is out now, adding a frozen northern region, fresh dungeon trials, and a new wave of creator-made companions to Capcom’s open-world action RPG. The expansion launched on October 9, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, and it marks the series’ debut on Nintendo Switch 2.
On PS5, Xbox, and Steam, Dark Arisen arrives as a standalone expansion that needs the base game installed. On Nintendo Switch 2, Capcom is selling a complete package that bundles the full Dragon’s Dogma 2 base game with all Dark Arisen content. Philippine buyers on Steam can grab the expansion for PhP1,290.00, while the base game sits at PhP1,790.00.
Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen Opens the Snowy North
The new chapter sends the Arisen to Norgan, a long-abandoned region in the snowy north. Players team up with a mysterious character named Eir to uncover the secret behind an undying Fallen Dragon. Exploration now leans on relics: you unearth forgotten items and have them appraised to unlock stronger weapons and skills.
Capcom also packed in 12 Lost Rites Dungeon Challenges, trials set inside freshly uncovered ruins. Clearing them is the main path to rare equipment once wielded by past Arisens. The character creator also grows, adding new hairstyles and tattoos for both the Arisen and their Pawns.
Filipino Creators Join the Rift as Official Pawns
Like the base game, Capcom is stocking the Rift with Official Pawns modeled on real creators. Two Filipinos are on the list. Cosplayer and gaming creator Myrtle Sarrosa joins as a new Fighter pawn named Myrtle Gail, built for front-line defense, taunting enemies, and even catapulting allies onto large monsters.

Returning is gaming icon Alodia Gosiengfiao, whose Sorcerer pawn Alodia now sports a refreshed look and high-level area-control spells, including the Meteoron incantation.

Other regional creators fill out the lineup. India’s BeastBoyShub brings the Mage “BBS,” Thailand’s Gssspotted brings the Thief “Mr.G,” and Pakistan’s Xyaa brings the Archer “Xyaa.” Veteran pawns HEARTROCKER (Sorcerer “FrungFringZ”) and The Jooomers (Sorcerer “Rattlexnake”) also return with boosted levels and new skills.
