TECNO Camon Slim 5G will soon be available in the Philippines
TECNO’s slimmest CAMON yet is built around the idea that everything you carry should feel lighter, and it is bringing a wearable second screen along for the ride.
TECNO is launching the CAMON Slim 5G in the Philippines on October 1, and the name says exactly what it is. The phone measures 6.39mm at its thinnest point and weighs 171 grams, which is a deliberate answer to anyone who has spent a day carrying a heavy phone around.
TECNO is aiming this one at creators who want something light and fashionable that can still keep up with the work. Less to charge, less to carry, less to juggle, whether you are shooting, editing, or posting from wherever the day takes you. It is available in four colors, with Burgundy Red leading, alongside Gossamer White, Matisse Black, and Rebel Pink.
A 6,000mAh battery in a 6.39mm body
Slim phones usually ask you to give something up, and the usual casualty is battery life. TECNO went the other way. There is a 6,000mAh battery inside that 6.39mm frame, plus 45W Super Charge for the days you need to top up in a hurry. That combination is the real headline here.
A Display That Goes Easy on the Eyes
The screen is a 6.78-inch 1.5K flat AMOLED panel running at 144Hz, with 2160Hz PWM dimming to cut flicker and a TUV-certified blue light filter for long days of reading. It is flat rather than curved, which matters when you are typing one-handed.
Built for the Messy Parts of the Day
The CAMON Slim 5G carries IP69K, IP69, and IP68 ratings at once, covering submersion up to 2 meters for 30 minutes, high pressure water jets at 100 bar, and water up to 80 degrees Celsius. TECNO says the body is also MIL-STD 810H certified for shock resistance. Two details stand out. Rain Touch keeps the screen from registering ghost touches while it is wet, and because the phone is built to survive water, it offers an underwater photography mode on its own once it senses it is submerged, shooting with either camera.
A Sony camera with a little help from AI
The main camera is a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700C with a 1/1.56-inch sensor and an f/1.8 aperture, joined by an 8MP 112-degree ultra-wide with autofocus and a 32MP front camera. TECNO pairs it with a closed loop ball motor for faster, more accurate focusing, optical image stabilization for stills, AI EIS for video, and an AI Shutter that adjusts its timing automatically.
Two features carry the camera story. Super-Zoom FlashSnap is aimed at catching moments as they happen, even when you are zoomed in, while Universal Tone is TECNO’s skin tone processing that promises colors that stay true to life. Portraits cover 24mm, 35mm, and 50mm focal lengths, and a flicker sensor keeps artificial lighting from ruining indoor shots.

What is running underneath
Inside is a MediaTek Dimensity 7300e built on a 4nm process. TECNO lists 256GB of storage with 24GB of RAM, which is 8GB of physical memory plus 16GB of extended RAM. There is eSIM support for up to six profiles, NFC, and FreeLink, which covers a 1.5km working range for sending texts, calls, and images without spending on data. The phone ships with Android 16 and HiOS 16, with three years of major Android updates and five years of security patches promised. The AI features carry over as well, including AI Snap Poster for product photos, AI Pet Together, AI LightMaster 2.0 for removing shadows and reflections, AI Recording Notes, and AI Healthy Eating.
Meet the TECNO MagBadge
The most interesting part of this launch is not the phone. It is the TECNO MagBadge, a 29-gram wearable display that clips on like an accessory and works as a second screen for your camera. It has a 1.73-inch OLED panel at 466 by 466 resolution, a 450mAh battery charged over USB-C, and Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for pairing with the phone through the MagBadge app.
What it solves is specific. It shows a live preview from the rear camera, which turns the better camera on the back into a usable selfie and group shot camera, and the wider rear lens fits more people into frame. It doubles as a remote shutter from up to 10 meters away, so you can set a shot on a tripod and fire it without running back into position. Wireless Media Sync pushes your own photos and images onto the badge as a custom face, and there are mini tools and games on board, including a timer. TECNO ships it with a silicone case and a keychain.
