The HUAWEI WATCH D3 made its first appearance at the European Society of Cardiology Congress 2026 in Munich, Germany, introducing its next-generation wrist-based ambulatory blood pressure recorder ahead of its official unveiling on September 2.
The device highlights Huawei’s continued effort to connect cardiovascular research with everyday consumer technology. At the event, the company showcased its latest health and fitness innovations while presenting the HUAWEI WATCH D3 as the newest development in its blood pressure monitoring lineup.
A Decade of Health Innovation
Huawei entered the sports and health technology sector in 2014. Since then, it has expanded its wearable monitoring capabilities from dynamic heart rate tracking and SpO₂ measurement to ECG collection and blood pressure monitoring.
The company launched the first HUAWEI WATCH D in 2021, which introduced medical-grade blood pressure measurement on the wrist and received medical device certification in several countries and regions, including China and the European Union.
Huawei followed this with the HUAWEI WATCH D2 in 2024, which added 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, broadening the role of wearable devices in daily blood pressure management.
The HUAWEI WATCH D3 builds on that progression with support for more measurement scenarios and a wider range of health-focused features.
Designed for Extended Wear
Huawei has refined the HUAWEI WATCH D3’s physical design to improve comfort during prolonged use. The device features adjustments to its thickness and strap weight, while three color options inspired by “nature’s healing” give it a more lifestyle-oriented appearance.
The watch is designed to function as both a health-monitoring device and an everyday accessory, with styling intended to suit different lifestyles and sports activities.
Expanded Measurement Features
The HUAWEI WATCH D3 is designed to measure blood pressure accurately even when heart rates are elevated. It can record blood pressure before and after exercise, offer recommendations for suitable exercise intensity, and support users in developing consistent fitness habits.
The device has received CE MDR certification in the European Union. Its certification covers single blood pressure measurements, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, and blood pressure measurements taken before and after exercise.
The watch also introduces reminders for blood pressure measurements in high-altitude environments and during sudden temperature changes. These are intended to help users avoid missing important monitoring checks.
Apart from blood pressure tracking, the HUAWEI WATCH D3 will offer expanded Health Glance metrics and health studies, along with continued improvements to sleep and emotional wellbeing monitoring.
