Dune: Awakening is now available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Funcom’s open-world survival game launched on consoles on September 22, 2026, bringing the full Arrakis experience to PS5 and Xbox players for the first time since the PC version arrived in June 2025.
The console release ships alongside a major update for all platforms. Funcom says the console build includes every addition and enhancement made to the PC version since launch, so new players begin with 15 months of updates already in place.
A single-player Dune: Awakening, start to finish
The headline change is the new single-player mode. The entire game, including its story, content, and features, can now be played solo. Players who want to take Arrakis at their own pace can also scale the difficulty and tune gameplay settings, from harvesting rates and experience gain to death penalties.
PvP is optional as well. The whole game can be played PvE, and the Deep Desert endgame runs separate PvE and PvP instances, with the PvP side carrying more risk and better rewards. The update also adds hours of new story content that closes out Book One of the campaign, plus new maps, dungeons, weapons, dynamic encounters, Augmentations and Specializations, and a rebuilt endgame that tracks a player’s rise through the ranks of the Atreides or the Harkonnen.
Filmic Archive DLC brings the films to Arrakis
Launching next to the console version is the Filmic Archive DLC, priced at $9.99 on all platforms. The cosmetic pack pulls looks from Dune: Part One and Dune: Part Two, including the Caladan Stormcoat worn by Duke Leto and Paul, and the Aegis of an Unwalked Path armor drawn from Paul’s visions of Fremen holy warriors.
It also adds 73 Sardaukar building pieces, plus new decorations, weapons, and emotes for players who want to build a base in the Emperor’s style.
Console prices, Game Pass, and launch offers
On Steam the PC version is 50% off until October 8, the deepest discount Funcom has run on the game. That brings the Philippine Steam price down to PhP899.50 from PhP1,799.
The Philippine PS Store, which prices in US dollars, lists the standard edition at $49.99, the Deluxe Edition at $69.99, and the Ultimate Edition at $89.99. The Xbox Store in the Philippines lists the standard edition at PhP2,300, the Deluxe Edition at PhP3,225, and the Ultimate Edition at PhP4,150. Dune: Awakening is also available with Xbox Game Pass, and members can upgrade to the Deluxe or Ultimate Edition at 20% off. The Xbox listing notes that console play requires an online multiplayer subscription such as Game Pass Core or Ultimate, sold separately.
A physical PlayStation 5 edition is out in select regions, with Japan getting it on October 29. Cross-play between platforms is confirmed but undated, and the free Polar Cap survival map arrives later this year, alongside cosmetics timed to Dune: Part Three, which premieres on December 18.
