dbrand has joined the pre-Apple-event accessory parade with what it calls an iPhone Ultra leak, teasing what it bills as the first look at an iPhone Ultra case in an email sent a day before Apple’s September 9 event.

Bearing the subject line “iPhone Ultra leak” and a preheader that reads “Thanks… Ternus?,” a nod to Apple hardware chief John Ternus, the email headlines with “The Final ‘Thanks, Tim.’” The accompanying copy claims Tim Cook “left the doors unlocked” and that dbrand “took a sneak peek at the new iPhone Ultra,” telling readers they are now “accomplices.”

The render itself is the interesting part: a matte black GRIP case wrapped around a device with a horizontal dual-camera module across the top rear, matching the layout that case leaks have consistently pointed to for Apple’s first foldable. It lines up with the design details seen in the MagBak iPhone Fold listing we covered earlier this week, where multiple accessory makers had already converged on the same wide book-style form factor.

More than an iPhone Ultra case

The campaign email carries two more product drops beyond the Ultra tease. A new Cherry Ghost case is color-matched to a rumored Cherry finish for the upcoming iPhone lineup, with dbrand joking that it “stole a quick look” at the color before matching it.

The rugged Tank Case also returns for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, following its debut alongside the iPhone 17 series last year.

With Apple’s event set for September 9, accessory makers have been racing to have inventory ready, and their listings have become the most consistent source of design details for the unreleased hardware. dbrand’s message is marketing first and leak second, but the renders it chose to show reinforce what earlier listings have suggested: the iPhone Ultra, or iPhone Fold depending on the report, is coming with a horizontal camera bar and a book-style body that the accessory ecosystem is already building around.

Everything remains unconfirmed until Apple takes the stage. What is certain is that dbrand, like MagBak before it, is ready to sell an iPhone Ultra case the moment the announcement lands, and that case listings will keep shaping expectations until Apple shows its hand.
