The local cosplay scene is bracing for a high-stakes showdown as Otaku Pop Fes 2026 prepares to host the OPF Cosplay Cup at Okada Manila on April 25 and 26. Positioned as the festival’s marquee attraction, the competition invites talented creators to demonstrate their craftsmanship and stage presence before a live audience. Unlike restrictive competitions, this year’s “Open Category” allows participants to compete using self-made, commissioned, or even purchased costumes, ensuring a diverse field of character interpretations.
Trip To Japan Prize
The stakes are higher than ever, with the First Place winner walking away with PHP 20,000, a trophy, and an enviable 3D2N trip to Japan. Beyond the travel prize, the top champion will also secure a performance slot at an event in Japan and receive extensive media coverage across official social channels. Substantial rewards are also reserved for the runners-up, with the second and third-place finishers receiving PHP 10,000 and PHP 5,000, respectively, alongside official merchandise and commemorative plaques.
