Nothing CEO and Co-founder Carl Pei has recently revealed in an interview that the company will not release the Nothing Phone (4) this year, instead it will be focusing on the a-series, meaning the Phone (4a) series.

Nothing Phone (4) – Phone (4a) Focus

The interview was made as a peek into the plans and updates of Nothing in 2026. Pei clarified that the Phone (3), launched last year, will be the company’s flagship this year, meaning a successor isn’t coming this year.

The Phone (4a), instead, will be the main focus of the company this year. The upcoming series is said to offer an experience closer to the flagship devices with an upgrade in materials, design, and hardware. This makes a lot of sense since the A-series is undoubtedly the company’s best-selling series.

Moreover, Pei revealed that the upcoming Phone (4a) series will have premium materials and bolder colors, in line with the evolution of the company’s design philosophy over the years.

Last year’s Phone (3a) series included the Phone (3a), Phone (3a) Pro, and Phone (3a) Lite. We expect this year’s Phone (4a) series to follow the same approach. Although it’s hard to tell if the entire series will be introduced in one go, or if the Phone (4a) Lite will be launched at a later date.

In the interview, it was also revealed that Nothing will increase the prices of its smartphones across the board due to the rising prices of RAM.

The Headphone (1) will also be confirmed to get upgraded this year. The Headphone (1), of course, was the company’s first-ever over-ear headphone offering and surprised the market, including us. You can read our review of the Headphone (1) here.
