Insta360 CEO Liu Jingkang has officially unveiled the Insta360 Luna pocket camera. Announced at the company’s annual meeting, the Luna is a compact, gimbal-stabilized camera designed to challenge DJI’s long-standing dominance in the “pocket” segment.

The Luna is scheduled for a global release in H1 of 2026. While full technical specs remain under wraps, CEO Liu emphasized that the Luna is “definitely not just another pocket camera.”

Early details and leaked prototypes suggest the device will feature a unique dual-camera setup, potentially offering creators both wide-angle and telephoto capabilities, a first for this form factor. The hardware is also expected to embrace a modular philosophy, allowing users to swap lens modules, battery handles, and screens to suit different shooting styles.

Industry analysts suggest the Luna will integrate seamlessly into the existing Insta360 ecosystem, offering native support for the brand’s wireless microphone systems and AI-powered editing suite. Rumors place the expected price point between USD 499 and 699, putting it in direct competition with DJI’s premium offerings.
