Samsung’s Commitment to Make its Appliances Smarter Companions

Samsung is using CES 2026 to make good on a very explicit promise: AI will be embedded into every screen and appliance it ships, turning TVs, fridges, washers, and even robot vacuums into coordinated “companions” that quietly remove friction from daily life and make its ecosystem far smarter than ever before.

With the introduction of these new product and services updates by Samsung, consumers can now start embracing the start of “zero housework” and focus more on things that highly matter.

What Samsung Is Actually Doing With AI

Samsung’s “Your Companion to AI Living” theme ties together its R&D, product design, and UX around the idea that every major category: mobile, TVs, home appliances, and services. These new devices will ship with on-device and cloud AI as a baseline, not a premium extra.

TM Roh even spelled it out on stage: the goal is to embed AI across every category and every product, using its massive connected ecosystem to deliver more unified, more personal experiences. This is why the entire lineup at The First Look, from the 130‑inch Micro RGB TV to Bespoke appliances, was framed less as “new gadgets” and more as pieces of an AI-powered lifestyle.

AI In Screens: From Passive Viewing To Active Help

On the TV side, Samsung’s flagship 130‑inch Micro RGB and its 2026 TV range combine upgraded hardware (micro‑sized RGB light sources, Micro RGB AI Engine Pro, and HDR10+ ADVANCED) with AI-driven features that actively respond to what you watch. Vision AI Companion can tweak picture and sound, strip out or boost commentary and crowd noise with AI Soccer Mode Pro and AI Sound Controller Pro, and even recognize meals on-screen so it can fetch recipes tailored to your health goals. Because these TVs run the most powerful Tizen OS yet and are designed to receive up to seven years of OS updates, Samsung is clearly treating AI on displays as an evolving service, not a one-off feature.

AI In Appliances: Towards “Zero Housework”

There’s a joke going around “Di bale ng tamad, hindi naman pagod” (“It doesn’t matter if you’re lazy, at least you’re not tired.”). I find it funny, but it shows the full picture that when less work is done, the less tired you get. However, this is not the core mission of “zero housework” of Samsung. Let me explain.

In appliances, the move from “smart” to genuinely helpful starts with the Bespoke AI Refrigerator Family Hub 32″, which uses an upgraded AI Vision system built with Google Gemini to identify what goes in and out of the fridge, track inventory, and simplify meal planning. Features like “What’s for Today?” turn recipe suggestions into a game based on what you actually have, while Video to Recipe converts cooking videos into step‑by‑step instructions that can be sent straight to connected cooking appliances via SmartThings Food. Around the fridge, Samsung’s Bespoke AI Laundry Combo, AI AirDresser, and AI Jet Bot Steam Ultra push towards a “zero-housework” home by automating washing, drying, wrinkle care, and even spill recognition and home monitoring, all controllable conversationally through a smarter Bixby.

With these new features on Samsung’s applaiunces, you can focus on other important things that matter without having to do the mundane tasks of going to your fridge and check available ingredients, and think about what you can cook with it. Instead of saying “di bale ng tamad, hindi naman pagod”, Samsung’s “Zero Housework” is transformed into smart productivity. AI has turned into a design philosophy, not a checklist; that TVs and appliances are becoming proactive companions rather than static hardware. Using Samsung’s products make your productive because you can focus on more important matters, and such is made possible because Samsung’s products are more proactive and productive because of AI.

Why “AI Everywhere” Is A Good Thing Here

The First Look experience reinforced the sense that Samsung isn’t just sprinkling AI branding; it is using it to reduce micro-frictions that stack up in a modern home, from remembering what’s in the fridge to customizing audio without diving into menus. When a TV can act as an entertainment companion that follows your preferences, and your appliances collaborate to plan meals and manage chores, AI becomes almost invisible, quietly saving time and mental load instead of demanding attention. Combined with Samsung Knox and Knox Matrix securing data and AI models, there is at least a clear attempt to balance personalization with privacy, which is critical if AI-powered appliances are going to feel trustworthy in kitchens, living rooms, and bedrooms.
