Redmi has officially confirmed the launch of its Redmi Turbo 5 series, featuring the Turbo 5 and the brand-new Turbo 5 Max. Slated for an official debut in China later this month, the lineup marks a significant expansion for the performance-oriented “Turbo” sub-brand.
Redmi Turbo 5 and Turbo 5 Max
The standout addition to the roster is the Redmi Turbo 5 Max, which introduces the “Max” moniker to the series. Positioned as a “mid-range performance champion,” the Max variant is teased to lead its segment in both speed and battery endurance. Leaks suggest the device will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset, a high-performance 4nm processor expected to be unveiled just ahead of the phone’s release.

In addition, the Turbo 5 Max is rumored to feature a massive 9,000mAh battery and support 100W fast charging. Design-wise, renders reveal a sleek CNC metal frame and a unique pill-shaped camera module on a fiberglass rear panel.
Industry analysts expect the series to target the CNY 2,500 (approx. USD 345) price point in China. For global consumers, the lineup is widely expected to be rebranded under the POCO X8 series later this year.
