Qualcomm has just revealed that it will unveil the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 on November 26, after it was previously reported to join the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 – Launch Date
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 will debut in China. It is said to share the 2 performance + 6 efficiency CPU core configuration as the flagship Elite chipset. The two performance cores are reported to be clocked at 3.8GHz, while the six efficiency cores are said to run at 3.36GHz.
Moreover, it is reported to use the Adreno 840 GPU, the same graphics card as the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
The upcoming chipset is also expected to be the first non-flagship SoC to use Qualcomm’s own Oryon cores. However, it’s uncertain if it will be the exact same cores used on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
The upcoming OnePlus Ace 6T is believed to be among the smartphones to be powered by the 8 Gen 5.
With a week to go until the November 26 launch date, we expect to learn more about the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5.
