Huawei has officially provided the first look at its upcoming flagship foldable, the HUAWEI Mate X7, ahead of its anticipated launch on November 25th. The new device is set to debut with significant upgrades in both resilience and performance.

The Mate X7 features a prominent rear camera module encircled by a distinct gold bezel, expected to house a versatile triple-camera system. Photography enthusiasts can look forward to a rumored 50-megapixel main shooter with variable aperture, complemented by a periscope telephoto lens.

Focusing heavily on ruggedness, the company released videos showing the Mate X7 enduring extreme factory stress tests, including 80°C hot water sprays and iron-ball impacts. The foldable boasts IP58 and IP59 dust and water resistance ratings.

The device, according to tipster Digital Chat Station, is powered by Huawei’s new Kirin 9030 chip alongside up to 20GB of RAM. Second-generation Basalt will shield the outer display on a premium Collector’s Edition tempered Kunlun glass, while the standard model will feature the regular second-gen Kunlun glass. The new foldable will be available in colors such as Light Blue, Purple, and a special Red for the Collector’s model.
