TECNO Slim – The World’s Slimmest 3D curved AI Phone
TECNO Mobile, a subsidiary of Transsion Holdings, on Tuesday officially launched the TECNO Slim smartphone in the Philippines, marking the arrival of what it claims to be the world’s slimmest 3D curved AI phone. The new mobile device, which surprised many at its initial unveiling during MWC Barcelona earlier this year, is now available nationwide with an attractive starting price and a limited-time discount.

The TECNO Slim, with a standard retail price of 9,499 pesos, joins the crowded budget smartphone market bearing a distinctive physical profile. Measuring just 5.93 millimeters thick and weighing 155, the phone definitely catches a lot of attention.
Price and Availability
Consumers looking to purchase the new TECNO Slim early will be able to avail of a significant 20% discount via Spaylater at select TECNO retail locations from October 8 through October 31, bringing the price down to just PhP7,599. The company expects this offer to draw interest from buyers seeking value and innovation ahead of the holiday season.

TECNO Slim sports an aerospace-grade fiberglass back cover and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection, which the company says allows for a durable yet lightweight build. The device also boasts an IP64 rating for splash resistance and is equipped with military-grade shock and drop protection, reassuring users who may be skeptical about the durability of ultra-slim devices.
Specs to remember
Under the hood, the TECNO Slim is powered by a MediaTek Helio G200 processor, backed by 16GB of RAM and up to 8GB extended virtual RAM, plus 256GB of internal storage. The combination provides more than enough capability for everyday tasks, app usage, and light gaming.

While not 5G-capable, the TECNO Slim tackles connectivity with dual Nano SIM slots, Bluetooth 5.4, WiFi 4/5/6 support, and NFC for contactless payments and fast device pairing. TECNO has also included FreeLink technology, which enables wireless device-to-device communication at distances up to one kilometer under optimal conditions. An IR blaster rounds out the connectivity features, offering support for home appliance control.
The handset adopts a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, boasting a peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits and a refresh rate that reaches 144Hz. These specs allow the TECNO Slim’s screen to deliver crisp colors, smooth scrolling, and strong visibility under bright light.

Camera performance is an area where slim phones often compromise, but TECNO intends to change that perception. The TECNO Slim is equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera and 13-megapixel front-facing camera. The rear lens delivers solid portraits and scene shots, aided by AI enhancements built into TECNO’s HiOS 15 system, which runs on top of Android 15. The software packs additional features, such as Circle to Search, AI Writing, live call translation, and a dual-system privacy mode that separates work and personal data.
Battery life, seen as a pain point for thin devices, is a highlight for the TECNO Slim. A 5,160mAh battery supports up to 15 hours and 33 minutes of medium usage—according to independent testing—and charges swiftly with 45W fast charging. The result is a phone designed to keep up with daily demands, while maintaining its slim and light profile.
Audio performance is delivered by dual stereo speakers tuned by Dolby Atmos, though the device omits a 3.5mm headphone jack in favor of its slim form factor.
It has a Mood Light!
TECNO Slim uniquely incorporates a “Mood Light” design element into the rear camera module, allowing the device to visually respond to user activity such as calls, charging, or voice commands with animated illumination—a feature intended to combine form and function.

With its combination of thin design, competitive specs, and introductory price, the TECNO Slim sets out to challenge preconceptions about what slim smartphones can offer. The company’s local product lead expects the phone to appeal not only to buyers prioritizing aesthetics but also those demanding solid performance, battery life, and usable features at a friendly price point.
The TECNO Slim is now available in stores across the Philippines, with the discounted price of PhP,7599 applicable via Spaylater at authorized TECNO retailers until October 31. It will then revert to its retail price of PhP9,499 the following day.
