realme has announced a strategic partnership with the renowned Japanese camera equipment company, RICOH.

The collaboration is aimed at integrating the heritage and specialized traditions of conventional cameras into the modern smartphone experience.
The company, which joins a growing list of smartphone manufacturers partnering with dedicated camera brands, confirmed that the two of them will work together to develop advanced imaging systems for its handsets. This alliance promises deep customization capabilities designed to emulate the acclaimed “feel” and user experience of Ricoh’s iconic GR series of compact cameras.
The first device to showcase this co-engineered technology will be the highly anticipated GT 8 Pro. Slated for launch later this month, the flagship smartphone is expected to debut the new camera system, signaling Realme’s intent to compete vigorously in the premium segment with specialized photography performance.
