Apple officially unveiled the new iPad Pro powered by the new M5 chip. The new chip unlocks the most advanced iPad experience with improved AI performance, gaming, and more.
With the introduction of the new iPad Pro and M5 chip, the company also introduced the latest MacBook Pro and Apple Vision Pro.
M5-powered iPad Pro
The new M5 chip on the latest iPad Pro features a 10-core GPU with a new architecture with a Neural Accelerator in each core, improving GPU performance for AI workloads. While on the topic of AI, the chip has a faster 16-core Neural Engine that delivers energy-efficient performance for on-device AI.
In comparison to the M4 chip, the M5 delivers 3.5x faster in AI performance and up to 5.6x faster than the iPad Pro with M1.

The M5 is also equipped with a 10-core CPU with four performance cores and six efficiency cores.
The iPad Pro brings an increase of over 150GB/s unified memory bandwidth with and faster storage read and write speeds. Additionally, it supports fast charging, enabling up to a 50% charge in around 30 minutes.

Apple has also equipped the new iPad Pro with cellular models of the C1x cellular modem and N1 wireless networking chip. The former brings up to 50% faster cellular data performance and up to 30% less power usage than M4. Meanwhile, the latter enables Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread connectivity. The wireless networking chip also improves performance when connected to 5GHz networks and improves the reliability of Personal Hotspot and AirDrop.

It is offered in 11-inch and 13-inch models, both with the Ultra Retina XDR display with ProMotion and True tone. It supports 1000 nits of full-screen brightness for SDR and HDR content and 1600 nits peak brightness for HDR.
The latest iPad Pro also adds the ability to support external displays at up to 120Hz, and it runs on iPadOS 26.
