A sneak peek at the new Xiaomi 17 Pro Max has been inadvertently revealed, showcasing a dual-display setup. The revelation, which came after Xiaomi’s official Weibo account temporarily changed its profile picture, confirms that the company is skipping the 16 series entirely.
Xiaomi 17 Pro Max Dual Display Feature
The new design features a prominent, rectangular camera module with rounded corners. This module is not only home to the primary and periscope telephoto cameras but also a sizable cover display. While Xiaomi has previously incorporated secondary screens on devices like the Mix Flip 2 and the Mi 11 Ultra, this new, larger display is expected to offer more functionality.

It is anticipated to serve as a camera viewfinder and provide quick access to essential information such as time and notifications.
Below the innovative rear screen, the phone houses a third camera, likely an ultra-wide-angle lens, along with a Leica-branded LED flash. The Xiaomi 17 series is rumored to be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, setting a high bar for performance.
