Ahead of the September 22 Snapdragon Event from Qualcomm, details of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 (or could also be named the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2) have surfaced, including what is said to be AnTuTu scores that break records.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 – Leaks
The leaks come from tipster Digital Chat Station, who claims that the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, Qualcomm’s upcoming flagship chipset, hit scores between 4.2 million and 4.4 million. These are the highest scores recorded to date.

In comparison, the upcoming MediaTek Dimensity 9500 was recently spotted with a 4 million score with a vivo X300 Pro prototype.
Going back to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, reports claim that it will be equipped with:
- 2x prime cores at 4.61GHz
- 6x performance cores at 3.63GHz
The upcoming Qualcomm flagship chipset is also believed to feature an Adreno 840 GPU clocked at 1.2GHz.
The Xiaomi 16 series is expected to debut the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Its exact launch date is uncertain, as of writing this, but pre-reservations have begun in China.
Qualcomm will be introducing its next-generation flagship chipset on September 22. With a little under 2 weeks to go, there’s still time for leaks to surface.
