Apple has just concluded its September Apple Event, where it introduced the latest iPhone 17 series that included the iPhone 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max, the AirPods Pro 3, Apple Watch Series 11, Apple Watch SE 3, and Apple Watch Ultra 3. Despite all that, though, it was the iPhone Air that really garnered everyone’s attention.
The iPhone Air is the first device with the Air moniker and features an ultra-slim design with Pro features under the hood.
iPhone Air

The iPhone Air is the slimmest iPhone ever, with a 5.6mm thin body, but still features the Action button. It has a titanium frame with a polished mirror finish.

The new Air device is built around a 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion technology, meaning you get an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Additionally, it boasts the highest-ever peak brightness on iPhone at 3000 nits.

The front of the first Air device is protected by the new Ceramic Shield 2, while the back is kept safe by Ceramic Shield. The back of the device features the new full-width plateau design, which houses the 48MP Fusion camera. Meanwhile, the front camera is the new 18MP Center Stage lens with a larger square sensor.

The 3nm A19 Pro powers the first Air device, making it a member of the Pro series. It also has the N1 wireless networking chip that enables Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread, and a C1x cellular modem that is said to deliver up to 2x faster speed than the C1 chip. The latter chip is also said to be the most power-efficient modem in an iPhone.
Out of the box, the device runs on iOS 26, which brings the latest Apple Intelligence capabilities.

Apple has also designed new accessories for the new iPhone Air, namely:
- iPhone Air Case with MagSafe
- iPhone Air Bumper
- Cross Body Strap
- iPhone Air MagSafe Battery – thin and light design, and delivers up to 40 hours of video playback
