Sony PH has posted a teaser of the launch of the Sony RX1R III, slated for an Aug 29 release. the latest addition to its premium full-frame compact camera series. The social media post includes a hidden message that hints at this camera model.
Sony RX1R III Details
The new model builds on the legacy of its predecessors, combining a high-resolution sensor with a fixed, high-quality lens in a portable form factor.
Moreover, the RX1R III features a 61-megapixel Exmor R CMOS sensor and BIONZ XR image processing engine, offering high resolution, low noise, and wide dynamic range. It features a fixed ZEISS Sonnar T* 35 mm F2 lens and AI-processing for advanced subject tracking.
The Step Crop Shooting function allows users to switch focal lengths without changing lenses. The camera’s magnesium alloy body has an electronic viewfinder and macro mode for detailed close-up photography.
Sony’s RX1R III camera, part of its ‘Road to Zero’ initiative, will be made using renewable energy and eco-friendly packaging. It will be available in July 2025 with optional accessories like a thumb grip and lens hood.
The RX1R III is said to be launching on Aug 29 in the Philippines and may be priced at PHP 350,000.
