A modder has created an extraordinary handheld PC powered by an NVIDIA RTX 4090 laptop GPU.

Showcased on the video platform Bilibili, the custom device challenges the performance limitations of current mainstream handhelds like the Steam Deck and ROG Ally.
The custom-built unit is a powerhouse, featuring an Intel Core i9-14900HX CPU, 64GB of DDR5 memory, and a massive 4TB NVMe SSD. It distinguishes itself from typical handhelds with a larger 12.5-inch 4K IPS Sharp touchscreen, demonstrating a commitment to high-end visuals. The device has been seen running demanding titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and God of War Ragnarok with impressive performance.
While the custom cooling solution manages the components, keeping the GPU below 72 degrees Celsius under load, the device’s greatest weakness is its small 50Wh battery. This power-hungry hardware severely limits playtime, a trade-off for its immense performance. For comparison, the ROG Ally X features an 80Wh battery.
Despite its short battery life, the project proves that it is possible to integrate top-tier desktop-class performance into a portable form factor. It offers a glimpse into what a truly high-end, no-compromise PC handheld could one day look like.
