Samsung has announced that its new Galaxy Z Fold7 has set a new pre-order record in the United States, surpassing all previous models in the Z Fold series.

According to the company, both the Z Fold7 and the Galaxy Z Flip7 saw a combined increase of over 25% in total pre-orders compared to their predecessors.
The record-breaking demand is attributed to the devices’ new, thinner, and lighter designs, as well as significant camera improvements and the integration of new AI features. Drew Blackard, Senior Vice President of Mobile Product Management at Samsung Electronics America, stated that foldables have reached an “inflection point” and are becoming a mainstream choice for consumers.
The company also noted a shift in color preferences, with the new “Blue Shadow” option accounting for nearly half of all Z Fold7 pre-orders, breaking the long-standing preference for black. The Z Flip7’s “Coralred” color also exceeded expectations.
