vivo just held a launch event to introduce the latest devices, namely the vivo X Fold5 and the X200 FE. The former is the company’s lightest and thinnest foldable to date.

vivo X Fold5
The vivo X Fold5 features a 6.53-inch FHD+ cover display and an 8.03-inch 2K+ panel when unfolded. Both these panels are an LTPO AMOLED panel, meaning it does have a variable refresh rate depending on what you’re doing to help lower battery usage. Although it is equipped with a large 6000mAh battery that charges with 80W wired fast charging and 40W wireless charging.
Both panels also house a 20MP camera each in a punch hole. The X Fold5 is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. This is kept cool with a 20762mm² vapor chamber and features graphite heat dissipation.

The vivo X Fold5 is equipped with three 50MP cameras – a Sony IMX921 main, a Sony IMX882 3x periscope, and a Samsung JN1 ultrawide.
The latest foldable has a Carbon Fiber Support Hinge that is said to have been tested for 600,000 folds. It is also said to have an IPX8, IPX9, and IPX9+ rating for water resistance and an IP5X rating for dust resistance. Moreover, it is said to have –20°C Freeze Resistance.

Additionally, it has a Shortcut Button that lets you open apps or activate certain functions quickly.

The vivo X Fold5 comes in a lone Titanium Grey color and is priced at INR 149,999 (around PHP 98,800) for the single 16GB+512GB memory.
