Samsung has just unveiled the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 during its latest Unpacked event. It is the thinnest and lightest Galaxy Z Fold to date, and it’s quite impressive.
The device was introduced alongside the Galaxy Z Flip7 and the new Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, as well as the latest Galaxy Watches.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 weighs an impressive 215 grams and is just 8.9mm thick when folded and 4.2mm thick when unfolded. It features an Armor FlexHinge, which is thinner and lighter, and also has Advanced Armor Aluminum.
This is while being built around an outer 6.5-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2x display and an inner 8-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED panel. The two feature 120Hz refresh rates and the Vision Booster, which offers up to 2600 nits of peak brightness.
The cover display is covered by Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, a new glass ceramic that has crystals. Meanwhile, the inner display has an Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG), which is increased to be 50% thicker.
The Galaxy Z Fold7 is equipped with a 200MP main camera joined by a 12MP ultrawide and a 3x optical 10MP telephoto lens.
Under the hood, it is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy coupled with up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB storage.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 features a plethora of AI features, including:
