vivo X Fold 5 – Details
The image reveals a new button on the upper left when unfolded, and its inner camera is spotted on the upper right of the inner panel. Speaking of the panel, the executive confirms that it will have LTPO 8T panels for both inside and outside the device. This is said to offer a smooth adaptive refresh rate.
The vivo X Fold 5 is also confirmed to have 4500 nits local peak brightness, making it easier to use the upcoming foldable even in sunlight. It will also come with PWM dimming and TÜV Rheinland Global Eye Protection 3.0 certification.
Both the inner and outer displays are also tuned with Zeiss Master Color, which is said to provide accurate and rich color reproduction.

As for the new button, it is expected to replace the alert slider that was used in the X Fold3 series. The exact use of the new button, though, is uncertain as of writing but here’s to hoping that it will be a programmable button or at least, it could be used for quick actions.
The vivo executive also revealed that the vivo X Fold 5 will be water and dust resistant, which means we can expect an IP5x dust and IPX9 water resistance. Moreover, it is said to be able to function even at -20°C.
Despite the plethora of details that Han Boxiao has shared on the vivo X Fold 5, the company has yet to reveal when it will debut. However, it is already shaping up to be quite an interesting foldable device.
