vivo has officially launched its latest foldable smartphone, the vivo X Fold 5, in China, setting a new benchmark for lightweight design and durability in the large-format foldable category. Weighing a mere 217 grams in its Titanium finish, the device also introduces several industry-firsts for water and dust resistance.

The X Fold 5 boasts impressive specifications, featuring an 8.03-inch inner 2K+ AMOLED display with an adaptive 1-120Hz LTPO refresh rate, complemented by a 6.53-inch FHD+ LTPO AMOLED outer screen. Both displays support 10.7 billion colors and Dolby Vision, promising a vibrant visual experience.
Under the hood, the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the ZEISS-equipped camera system, which includes a 50MP Sony IMX921 main sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP IMX882 periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom.
A substantial 6000mAh Blue Ocean battery supports 80W wired and 40W wireless charging. The X Fold 5 runs on OriginOS 5, based on Android 15, and introduces a new “Atomic Workbench” feature for enhanced multitasking.
Available in Titanium, Clear White, and Pine Green, the X Fold 5 starts at CNY 6,999 for the 12GB + 256GB model, with the top-tier 16GB + 1TB variant priced at CNY 9,499. Pre-orders are currently open in China, with sales commencing on July 2nd.
