HUAWEI has announced the launch of two new products designed to elevate user experience: the nova Y73 smartphone and the FreeBuds 6 earbuds. Both devices boast advancements in their categories, focusing on extended battery life, durability, and enhanced audio performance.
HUAWEI nova Y73: Extended Battery Life and Robust Design
The HUAWEI nova Y73 has a 6,620mAh Battery that provides exceptional longevity for daily use. This high-capacity battery requires charging only twice per week under typical usage conditions. When fully charged, the device delivers up to 1.4 days of video playback, 2.6 days of music listening, and 2.2 days of call time. The battery maintains functionality in extreme conditions, operating effectively at temperatures as low as -20°C.
The device also brings 40W HUAWEI SuperCharge Turbo technology to the nova Y Series, enabling rapid charging capabilities. A 10-minute charge provides up to five hours of movie-watching time, ensuring minimal downtime for users.
Durability and Build Quality
The nova Y73 incorporates high-strength aluminum alloy construction with optimized architecture for enhanced durability. The device has SGS certification for 5-star drop resistance and can withstand drops from heights up to 1.8 meters and maximum pressures of 65 kilograms. It also boasts IP64 dust and water resistance for daily use and outdoor activities.
The design features a Dynamic Plaid Texture on the rear panel, creating distinctive light and shadow effects that complement the slim profile and Double Star Orbit Rings.

The nova Y73 introduces the HUAWEI X-Button, providing quick access to frequently used applications and functions. Single-press activation opens a Quick Access shortcut menu, while double-click or long-press operations launch core applications efficiently. Users can customize the X-Button functionality through One Click Tools access and One Click Call features.
The device has an Infrared Smart Remote feature that transforms the smartphone into a universal remote control for home appliances. This functionality integrates with the X-Button for convenient control of air conditioning, television, and other compatible devices.
Running on EMUI 12, the HUAWEI nova Y73 enhances privacy and security via Privacy Center and Security Center features. The device has 256GB of internal storage, providing ample space for applications and large files.
HUAWEI FreeBuds 6: Open-Fit Audio Innovation
The FreeBuds 6 represents HUAWEI’s entry into open-fit earbud technology, featuring dual-driver units and HUAWEI Sound technology. This configuration delivers enhanced bass response, clear trebles, and stable call quality through AI-powered noise cancellation.
Audio Performance and Connectivity
These earbuds support lossless audio transmission at rates up to 2.3Mbps when paired with compatible HUAWEI devices. The HUAWEI Mate X6 supports a full 2.3Mbps transmission rate, while the HUAWEI Pura 70 smartphones support up to 1.5Mbps, and other smartphone models support up to 990kbps lossless transmission.
The FreeBuds 6 features an ergonomic droplet design that balances comfort, style, and audio performance. The open-fit design allows ambient sound awareness while maintaining audio quality for extended listening sessions.
Availability and Pricing
