HUAWEI Mate XT 2 – Report
Reports have previously mentioned that the HUAWEI Mate XT 2, the successor to the world’s first tri-fold smartphone – the Mate XT, is in the works. Now, Weibo leakster Smart Pikachu revealed that it is expected to debut around September.

Moreover, the leakster reveals that the second-generation tri-fold foldable will come with satellite connectivity support, making it capable of being used for emergency messaging or for basic internet access in remote areas.
The reported device is also said to come with an improved chip and upgraded camera system. A recent leak claims that the Mate XT 2 will feature an ultra-flexible glass technology for better durability.

The launch period isn’t too surprising as the HUAWEI Mate XT was launched in China in September last year. It debuted globally earlier this year, including the Philippines. We released our first impressions on the HUAWEI Mate XT, and you can read that here.
Huawei has yet to mention the HUAWEI Mate XT 2 officially, but with months to go until September, we don’t expect a mention until around mid-August or early September.
