Apple is reportedly gearing up for the production of its highly anticipated foldable iPhone, with a public launch targeted for the fall of 2026 as part of the iPhone 18 lineup.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo indicates that Foxconn, a key Apple supplier, is expected to commence initial production phases by late September or early October 2025.

The device is rumored to feature a book-style inward fold, revealing a 7.8-inch screen when open and a more compact 5.5-inch display when closed. Samsung Display is slated to be the primary supplier of these advanced panels.

Market speculation suggests a premium price tag for the foldable iPhone, estimated to be between USD 2,000 and USD 2,500. The company is expected to implement a limited initial rollout, with approximately 15 to 20 million units available for purchase.
This strategic approach would allow the company to test the market and refine the technology before a broader release. The move into foldable technology signifies Apple’s commitment to innovation in the competitive smartphone landscape.
