OnePlus has expanded its Ace 5 smartphone series with two new models – OnePlus Ace 5 Racing and Ace 5 Ultra, each targeting different segments of the premium smartphone market while maintaining the series’ core philosophy of accessible flagship-level capabilities.

The OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra uses a Dimensity 9400+ chipset, positioning itself as the most powerful MediaTek-powered smartphone in OnePlus’s portfolio, delivering exceptional performance for demanding scenarios and gaming.

You get a 6.83-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and resolution exceeding Full HD+. You also get up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, paired with up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

The device uses a dedicated G1 connectivity chip, which enhances Wi-Fi performance by 33% compared to competing solutions. It also features a sophisticated multi-layered cooling architecture with a 7,300 square millimeter vapor chamber, ensuring optimal thermal management during intensive usage scenarios.

At the back is a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization alongside an 8MP ultra-wide unit. The programmable side button can be configured to provide quick access to various functions including alarm activation, flashlight control, Night Mode engagement, translation services, or artificial intelligence features.

This device packs a Dimensity 9400e chipset, which provides robust performance for most applications while offering improved power efficiency.

The Racing variant features a 6.77-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also packs up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM paired with 256GB or 512GB UFS of 4.0 storage.

The Racing model has a 50MP main camera along with a 2MP monochrome unit. While it does not include the specialized G1 connectivity chip found in the Ultra, it still maintains sophisticated cooling capabilities through a 7,000 square millimeter vapor chamber system.

It houses a 7,100mAh battery capacity, the largest battery ever implemented in a OnePlus smartphone. This supports 80W fast charging and includes bypass charging functionality.

The OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra has a starting price of CNY 2,499 for the 12GB+256GB variant, while the top-tier 16GB+1TB variant is priced at CNY 3,799. The Racing model offers a more accessible entry pricing at CNY 1,799 for the 12GB+256GB model.

The Ultra is available in Blue, Black, and a distinctive Titanium Silver variant with an eye-catching striped pattern, while the Racing has White, Black, and Mint Green color options.

Currently, these devices are available exclusively in the Chinese market, though their innovative features and competitive positioning suggest potential for broader international availability.
