At its first-ever GrabX product showcase, Grab unveiled a series of innovative solutions under the theme “For Every You.” These new features are made to address the multifaceted lives of its users, adapting to their needs as they transition through different roles and moments throughout the day. Using advanced AI technologies and the strength of its ecosystem, Grab aims to redefine convenience and connectivity for its users across Southeast Asia.

The new offerings cater to three personas: the Family ‘You,’ the Solo ‘You,’ and the Explorer ‘You.’ Each solution is tailored to specific use cases, ensuring that Grab remains an integral part of its users’ daily lives. Grab also introduced its Early Access Programme (EAP), inviting early adopters to test and refine these features for continuous improvement.
For the Family ‘You’
Family plays a central role in many users’ lives, and Grab has introduced solutions that prioritize safety, reliability, and convenience for families.
Grab for Family | Teens

This feature allows teenagers aged 13 to 17 to travel independently while providing parents with peace of mind. With a Teens account linked to a parent’s Grab for Family account, teens will be able to book rides on their own or have rides booked by their parents. The service includes multiple safety measures:
- Prioritized Driver Assignments: Teens are matched with top-rated drivers with proven track records.
- Ride PIN Verification: To ensure teens enter the correct vehicle, they must provide a unique PIN to the driver before the ride begins.
- AudioProtect Technology: Powered by generative AI, this feature detects potential risks in real-time during rides, enabling immediate intervention if necessary.
- Trip Monitoring: Parents can track their teen’s journey in real-time and receive alerts for unusual activity such as route deviations or unplanned stops.
Grab for Family | Teens will launch across markets starting in May.
Enhanced Large Order Experience

For family gatherings and special occasions, Grab has improved its food delivery system for large orders. Using a tailored Large Language Model (LLM), Grab can determine if an order is too bulky or heavy for a single delivery partner. When necessary, the system assigns four-wheelers or splits the order between multiple motorbike riders to ensure timely delivery. These enhancements are now live across Southeast Asia, ensuring families can enjoy seamless celebrations without worrying about delayed deliveries.
For the Solo ‘You’
Grab recognizes that solo moments should be simple and affordable, especially when it comes to dining or small-item deliveries.
GrabFood for One

This addresses the challenges of solo dining by offering affordable single-item meals with no minimum spend and fixed low delivery fees. For this, Grab collaborates with merchant partners to curate diverse meal options tailored specifically for solo diners. The service is now available in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, making it easier than ever for individuals to enjoy their favorite meals without breaking the bank.
Shared Saver

Designed for small-item orders like snacks or drinks, Shared Saver lets users join live orders from nearby strangers heading to the same merchant. Leveraging the power of AI, this reduces delivery costs while maintaining convenience.
Users can also initiate shared orders and invite others nearby to join. A countdown timer indicates how much time is left to join an order, and users can see their savings on the delivery fees during checkout. Shared Saver will have its pilot implementation in Singapore starting this month, with plans to expand to other cities by June.
For the Explorer ‘You’
For those who love exploring new cities or uncovering hidden gems in their neighborhoods, Grab has introduced features that enhance travel and discovery experiences.
Advance Booking (Airport Pickup)

This feature dynamically adjusts driver schedules based on real-time flight information, in case of delays on your flight schedule. Travelers will be able to book rides before departure and enjoy seamless pickups upon arrival. Currently available at major airports, this service will expand further in the coming months.
Dine Out Discovery (Powered by GrabMaps)

Dine Out Discovery leverages Grab’s expertise in maps and food to help its users explore dining options intuitively. Users will be able to search for restaurants based on various aspects like cuisine preferences, ratings, price points, or proximity and access details such as menus, reviews, photos, and opening hours. Users can even make table reservations at select restaurants.
Dine Out Discovery will be available across all markets by May, with the reservations feature launching initially in Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand before expanding further.
Grab Travel Pass

To simplify travel across Southeast Asia, Grab has launched the Travel Pass—a package of vouchers for airport rides, general transport, food delivery, and dining out.
Available across all countries today via the app, this pass makes trips more affordable and convenient for travelers hopping between cities in one of the world’s most connected regions.
Early Access Programme

To complement these innovations, Grab has introduced its Early Access Programme (EAP), allowing early adopters to test new features before their official release. User feedback will play a critical role in refining these offerings further.
