realme has introduced the world’s first smartphone with cold-sensitive color-changing technology with its realme 14 Pro Series at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025, setting a new benchmark for smartphone design.
Revolutionary Design Features
Developed in collaboration with Valeur Designers, the realme 14 Pro Series incorporates several pioneering design elements. Most notably, the devices feature a revolutionary thermochromic technology that enables the rear cover to transform from pearl white to vibrant blue when exposed to temperatures that are below 16°C, reverting to its original color as temperatures increase. The feature draws inspiration from the natural color-changing abilities of deep-sea creatures such as jellyfish and mollusks.
Beyond the color-changing capability, the series showcases a distinctive pearl texture created with organic seashell powder, providing a shell-like appearance with a shimmering luster. The devices also maintain an impressively slim profile, with the realme 14 Pro measuring 7.55mm thin and the 14 Pro+ at under 8mm.
Unique Individualized Design
For the Pearl White variant, each device has a unique pattern on its back cover. Using a sophisticated fusion fiber process that involves more than 30 steps of craftsmanship, no two devices are identical, which means consumers get a truly personalized product.

realme Philippines has announced that the 14 Pro Series 5G will officially launch on March 20, 2025. While its pricing details have not yet been disclosed, realme physical stores nationwide are accepting pre-orders until March 19, 2025.
