Samsung‘s latest flagship, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, might have a chink in its armor. A recent durability test by YouTuber JerryRigEverything reveals a potential concern with the phone’s camera rings.
Galaxy S25 Ultra Camera Rings – A Cause for Concern?
The durability test involved subjecting the phone to drops and scratches, highlighting a potential weak spot: the camera rings surrounding the rear camera lenses. The test found that these rings can detach from the phone’s body under certain conditions.
While a detached camera ring might not render the camera system entirely unusable, it could certainly affect the phone’s aesthetics and potentially lead to dust or water ingress, which could impact camera performance in the long run.

The durability test of the Galaxy S25 Ultra raises concerns about its build quality, especially the camera system. The company has not yet addressed these issues, so potential buyers should consider using a protective case.
There’s no question the S25 Ultra boasts a powerful camera system, but these durability concerns provide a fairly significant negative impact on consumers. Hopefully, Samsung will take steps to address this potential issue and ensure the phone’s build quality lives up to its flagship status.
