With the theme “Heroes Within,” this season aims to refocus on the competitive spirit and community engagement that have made MPL PH one of the most prestigious MLBB leagues in the world.
New Team and Returning Stars
One of the most anticipated additions to MPL PH Season 14 is the debut of Serbian esports organization Aurora. Its roster is composed of star players Yue, Edward, Demonkite, Domeng, and Benthings, promising to shake up the competition. Additionally, Filipino imports MP The King and Dlar are making their return to the league after stints in MPL Cambodia and MPL Indonesia, respectively.
As for the participating teams, there are 8 in total for MPL S14 and 12 for MDL S4.
Playoffs Format Update
The tournament introduces a significant change to its playoffs structure. The Lower Bracket Finals will now be a best-of-seven (BO7) series, up from the previous best-of-five format. This adjustment aims to ensure that only the most deserving team advances to the Grand Finals, intensifying the competition in the crucial later stages of the tournament.
Global Open Transfer System
MPL PH Season 14 introduces a groundbreaking global open transfer system. This new rule allows teams to acquire players from MPL or MDL teams, overseas and local, as well as free agents within a pre-determined transfer window. Community Events
The league is doubling down on community engagement with the return of MPL Smart Battle Trips. This initiative invites MLBB communities from cities, schools, and workplaces to experience the tournament live at the arena. In partnership with MLBB Community Heroes and Student Leaders (CHSL), around 40 students and community members from Luzon will be invited to watch matches offline and participate in workshops about opportunities in the esports industry.
