Apple has just introduced the latest members of the iPad family – the all new M4-powered iPad Pro and the new iPad Air with an M2 SoC at the Let Loose 2024 launch event.

The new iPad Air is now also offered in a 13-inch model in addition to the 11-inch model. Both models feature a Liquid Retina display and an ultrawide 12MP front camera with Center Stage that is now found on the landscape edge.

Under the hood, the new Air is powered by the M2 SoC. The chipset features a faster 8-core CPU, a 10-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine. The latter is said to be 40% faster than the M1 chip.

The new iPad member now supports Wi-Fi 6E and comes with Wi-Fi + Cellular models that support 5G connectivity.

Moreover, it supports the new Apple Pencil Pro that was introduced during the same event.
