realme Europe CEO Francis Wong recently teased what looks to be a transparent variant of the realme 12 Pro+ on social media. The transparent rear panel clearly shows all of the devices’ components, including its triple camera system.
Wong said he has been using this unique device for a week and also asked for suggestions on where to launch it first, implying it will have a limited release.

realme 12 Pro+ boasts a 6.7-inch 1080p curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, 1260Hz instant touch sampling rate, 950 nits of brightness, and 2160Hz PWM Dimming. It packs a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset and comes with 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB of storage options.
At the rear, you get a 50MP Sony IMX890 main camera with OIS joined by an 8MP ultrawide and a 64MP Omnivision OV64B 3x telephoto unit. It also has a 32MP front camera.
Other key specs include 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, realme UI 5 on top of Android 14, and a 5,000mAh battery with 67W SUPERVOOC fast charging support.
Chances are this transparent edition may be a special version launched in select markets (The Philippines included, hopefully) in limited quantities. We’ll just have to wait for official details from realme.
