Xreal, formerly Nreal, unveiled the Xreal Air 2 Ultra AR device at CES 2024, following the Nreal Light launch in 2019. The Air 2 Ultra offers 6DoF spatial tracking, hand tracking, a wider 52-degree FOV, and 42-pixel-per-degree sharpness.
The glasses require an external computing unit like a smartphone or a computer via USB-C and may be positioned as a compelling alternative to Apple’s Vision Pro.

First off, the Air 2 Ultra features three electrochromic dimming levels, directional audio technology, and dual microphones for enhanced immersion.
It features Sony micro OLED panels with 1080p resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 500 nits brightness. These glasses are TÜV Rheinland-certified for color accuracy, eye comfort, low blue light, and flicker-free usage.
The Xreal Air 2 Ultra, priced at USD 699 (around PHP 39,000), is primarily aimed at developers due to its upcoming Unity-based NRSDK 2.2, which will only be available after the glasses start shipping in March.
