The update introduces Liyue’s Lantern Rite celebration and the new region, Chenyu Vale. Players can earn rewards like Intertwined Fates, a Liyue four-star character, and Xingqiu’s new outfit.
Genshin Impact Version 4.4
The Lantern Festival brings a kite theme with new events and mini-games, including Xingqiu’s outfit. Players can claim up to 10 Intertwined Fates during the daily login event and receive additional rewards in their mailbox. New outfits for Ganyu and Shenhe will be available at a discount.
Moreover, two new playable characters, Xianyun and Gaming, join the game. Xianyun is a five-star Anemo catalyst wielder, while Gaming is a four-star Pyro Claymore user. Version 4.4 Event Wishes features Xianyun, Gaming, Nahida’s rerun, Xiao, and Yae Miko’s rerun.
Liyue’s new expansion, Chenyu Vale, features mist-shrouded hills, waterfalls, and villages. Players can transform into carp to explore inaccessible areas and encounter legendary beasts.
Moreover, the patch will introduce new technical features namely Global Far Fog and Gradient Tint Rock for PlayStation and PC, as well as a simplified version on mobile.
Global Far Fog allows you to better observe how they take on different forms around the rolling hills. Meanwhile, Gradient Tint Rock allows you to see a different color gradient on rocks depending on the altitude, distance, and textural characteristics of the rocks and structure of each mountain.
Version 4.4, set to release on January 31, offers cross-progression and Co-Op gameplay across PlayStation, PC, Android, and iOS platforms.
