Acer concluded another thrilling edition of the Asia Pacific Predator League, crowning new DOTA 2 and VALORANT champions last January 14th at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines. Across two exhilarating days, the sold-out venue and online spectators via Acer’s social channels witnessed intense matchups and electrifying musical performances.

DOTA 2

The DOTA 2 tournament captivated fans, with Filipino squad Blacklist Rivalry prevailing over compatriots Execration in a hotly contested grand final series. Blacklist Rivalry tactically contained Execration’s star player Mark “Bob” Urbino to complete their championship run.

For their efforts, Blacklist Rivalry claimed the $65,000 top prize and coveted Predator Shield. Execration received $20,000 for their runner-up result. Third and fourth placers – China’s Team Aster and IHC Esports from Mongolia will also receive USD 7,500 each for their impressive showing.

Valorant

The VALORANT tournament saw favorites Team Secret, the “Adobo Gang”, control Japan’s FAV Gaming in the final to win their first LAN trophy since forming. Led by ace Adrian “invy” Reyes, Team Secret cruised to the USD 65,000 champions’ check. FAV Gaming took home USD 20,000 as VALORANT runners-up.

Third and fourth placers BOOM Esports from Indonesia and Team Flash from Vietnam also received USD 7,500 each.

Merits were also given to players who stood out amongst the competition. For Dota 2, it was carry player Polo “Raven” Fausto while in VALORANT it was duelist player Jeremy “Jremy” Cabrera. Both players take home an extra USD 10,000 as well as the Intel MVP Award Trophy for their individual performances.

Beyond the esports highlights, audiences were treated to exhilarating musical performances from renowned Filipino acts like SB19, Sarah Geronimo, Urbandub, Sandwich and more. Fans also relished meet-and-greets with popular gamers and influencers Cong TV and Team Payaman, burg, KuyaNic, Chibiby, Maggiekarp, amaratv, Een Mercado, Kang Dupet, and Alodia Gosiengfiao.

Predator League Goes to Malaysia for 2025

The entertaining competitions and performances over the two-day spectacle reinforced Acer’s commitment to serving as a portal connecting esports athletes and fans across the Asia Pacific region. For 2025, the Asia Pacific Predator League is heading to Malaysia, with qualifiers starting in late 2024 and finals in early 2025.
