A few months ago, the streaming platform started its global trial of removing ad blockers and has been expanding its efforts ever since. Currently, users have been completely blocked off when using ad blockers and are being pushed harder to subscribe to the platform’s premium service.
The platform’s ad blocker crackdown prompts users to explore alternatives or use extensions on other browsers. Industry experts warn that complex blocking tactics could create unintentional security issues, potentially causing unintended consequences.
As of now, users have two options, either use extensions on other web browsers and keep looking for alternatives or subscribe to the platform’s premium service.
