In an exciting team-up, tvN has just launched two new TV channels, tvN Movies Pinoy and tvN Premium, in collaboration with Cignal TV.

tvN Movies Pinoy and tvN Premium

tvN Movies Pinoy is a channel where Korean movies are dubbed in Tagalog, bringing the colorful world of Korean films to Filipino viewers in their own language. Then there’s tvN Premium, a high-definition channel showing the newest Korean dramas and shows.

For those with Cignal subscriptions, you can find tvN Movies Pinoy on channel 39, and tvN Premium has taken the place of tvN Asia, now on channel 237. And if you prefer watching online, you can catch tvN Movies Pinoy on Cignal TV’s streaming platform, Cignal Play.

Now, tvN Movies Pinoy has a mix of different types of movies, giving Filipino viewers a chance to see their favorite Korean stars like Hyun-bin, Son Ye-jin, D.O., Don Lee, Lee Byung-hun, and more. There’s something for everyone – from romantic dramas to action-packed hits and funny comedies.

Coming up in 2023, viewers can enjoy the tear-jerking story “My Puppy,” the sports movie “Countdown,” the romantic comedy “My Worst Neighbour,” and the detective thriller “The Glorious My Revenge.” And just four months after hitting theaters in Korea and the Philippines, you can catch “The Moon” in December, an action thriller with D.O. (EXO) playing an astronaut trying to land on the moon. And for some laughs, there’s “Switch,” a story about a switch in identity between a top star and an everyday person, starring Kwon Sang-woo and Lee Min-jung.

This partnership also brings tvN Premium to Cignal TV subscribers, featuring the latest Korean dramas like “Not Others,” starting from November 8. It’s based on a webtoon of the same title and explores the love-hate relationship between a mother and daughter.

“Movies are favorites among Filipinos. We are grateful to partner with Cignal TV to be first to bring tvN Movies to the Philippines. By dubbing the films in the local language, we appeal to a wider audience. Together with Korean dramas on tvN Premium, this is a surefire entertainment combo for everyone.”

– Mickey Ong, Senior Vice President of CJ ENM Hong Kong

“We are pleased to add tvN Premium and tvN Movies Pinoy to our channel lineup,” said Cignal TV’s President and CEO Jane J. Basas. “Consistent with our commitment to give Cignal subscribers the best options to choose from, this partnership allows us to offer them the latest Korean shows, and the best Korean films in Filipino.”
