The HONOR X9a 5G was a massive hit in the Philippines, thanks to a combination of premium features and the heavily marketed durability of its display. You can check out our review here.
Now though, a teaser for the HONOR X9b 5G has appeared in the brand’s Malaysian website. While specs have not been confirmed, we can at least see the upcoming phone’s design.

HONOR X9b 5G vs HONOR X9a 5G
Speaking of which, the HONOR X9b 5G looks to be, in many ways, similar to the HONOR X9a 5G. The teaser reveals a curved screen, and a rounded rear camera module with some branding in the middle.
But the interesting part is that the rear panel seems to be covered in vegan leather, which I personally think should become more common in phones because it looks good and offers better grip.
The teaser also mentions the phone’s slogan, “All-angle Ultra Tough,” which suggests that once again, one of its key selling points will be durability. We hope that apart from the display, the phone comes with some form of ingress protection at the very least.
Anyway, the device should be revealed soon, and we’ll finally find out about its full specs and even more importantly, how much it costs.
