GDP Appoints New Executive Director to Help Boost Digital Services for Filipinos

In a significant step toward boosting digital services for the Filipino people, GoDigital Pilipinas (GDP), an organization working on digital advancements, recently announced that Mishy Co is now the Executive Director and Trustee of the Corporation.

Co’s new role is to support the GDP movement of the PSAC-Digital Infrastructure, which recently earned praise for its efforts in promoting digital progress across the country.

Henry Aguda, the head of PSAC Digital Infrastructure and President of UnionDigital Bank, warmly welcomed Co and the new members of the Board of Trustees. He praised her commitment to the goals of the GoDigital Pilipinas Movement and expressed confidence in her experience and skills contributing to the success of digital transformation initiatives.

Co’s professional background in the digital space is expected to strengthen the PSAC – Digital Infrastructure Sector’s ability to support the country’s development plans and digitalization agenda through the GoDigital Pilipinas (GDP) movement.

GDP Chairperson Carlos Gatmaitan expressed support and appreciation for Co’s expertise and passion in policies and programs that promote digital infrastructure and services development. He also stated that the Board and he are looking forward to her leadership, which is essential for the country’s success in the digital economy.

In addition to her role with GDP, Co also serves as the Managing Director at The Bureau PH, where she develops digital strategies and content to support good governance and public policies.

Co expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome and shared vision of advancing digital progress in the Philippines. She also thanked everyone for the opportunity to contribute to the President’s vision of innovation and progress powered by digital initiatives.

Co graduated from UP Diliman in 2008 and pursued certification studies at Georgetown University in Washington D.C. to enhance her skills in social and public policy.

She emphasized her intention to further develop policies and programs, including promoting digital literacy, enhancing digital skills, creating new business opportunities in the digital economy, and ensuring digital rights, protection, and privacy.

GoDigital Pilipinas (GDP) aims to improve the nation’s digital landscape, empowering citizens and businesses through digital innovation.

Aguda emphasized that the PSAC Digital Infrastructure group is committed to supporting the nation’s development and digitalization efforts, ensuring that every Filipino has the tools and skills needed for success in the digital world.
