ASUS ROG Phone 7 Ultimate
As I started unboxing the ASUS ROG Phone 7 Ultimate, I couldn’t help but feel excited about what was inside. The package contained the sim ejector tool, a 65W charger, the phone itself, and the Aeroactive Cooler 7 with a pouch to carry it.
Display
The first thing that caught my attention was the 6.78” HDR10+ Samsung AMOLED display, which is one of the fastest and sharpest displays available on the market with a maximum refresh rate of 165 Hz. This display is perfect for gamers looking to gain a competitive edge over their competitors, as it has a touch sampling rate of up to 720 Hz and a stunning 23ms touch latency.
Hardware
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and an overclocked Adreno 740 GPU make the ASUS ROG Phone 7 Ultimate the fastest smartphone on the market. The GameCool 7 cooling system has been further improved to provide even more efficient heat dissipation than ever before, making sure the phone stays cooler for even longer periods of gaming. The new AeroActive Cooler 7 has an integrated Thermoelectric AI Cooling System and a Peltier cooler that can significantly lower the temperature of the phone during heavy gameplay.
Battery and Power
The phone’s battery also utilizes an MMT design consisting of two 3000mAh batteries, allowing for faster charging from 0 – 100% in just 42 minutes. The ROG Phone 7 Ultimate also boasts the most immersive sound experience on mobile with a sophisticated speaker setup and masterful tuning by Dirac.
One of the unique features of the phone is the side-mounted port for landscape use, which supports display-output and accessories such as the AeroActive Cooler. The phone also has the AirTrigger system that offers better sensitivity, better positioning, and plenty of motion control gestures.
