ASUS has officially unveiled the ROG Phone 7 series globally comprised of the ROG Phone 7 and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate.

The company’s latest gaming smartphones share quite a lot of their hardware. Among these include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset at the helm, a 6.78-inch FHD+ Samsung AMOLED panel with a 165Hz refresh rate, and a 6000mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging.

ROG Phone 7

The first of the two ROG Phone 7 series phones is the ROG Phone 7. The features a two-tone design with Aura RGB lighting. You can personalize the ROG Fearless Dot-matrix logo to your liking.

Around the back, the phone has a 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera joined by a 13MP ultrawide and 5MP macro. It also has RAW Super Resolution

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is coupled with 12/16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256/512GB UFS 4.0 storage. To keep the chipset cool, the company has a Re-shaped Graphite Sheet, Rapid-Cycle Vapor Chamber, and Graphite Sheet which is said to offer up to 10% improved thermal cooling.

Additionally, the chipset is positioned in the middle of the device in between the dual battery cells.

ROG Phone 7 Ultimate

The second ROG Phone 7 series device, but definitely not the least, is the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate which is a successor to the ROG Phone 6D Ultimate.

As it is a successor, the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate carries over the AeroActive Portal which helps with cooling when the AeroActive Cooler is attached by allowing the air to the cooling fins of the vapor chamber.

Around the back, it has the same triple rear camera setup as the vanilla variant. It has a different rear panel though thanks to the ROG Vision – a 2-inch OLED panel with a variety of uses. Among these include showing an incoming call, showing games, and charging.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is accompanied by 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. It also shares the same cooling setup and central position.

ASUS ROG Phone 7 series - ROG Phone 7 Ultimate - AeroActive Cooler 7

The Ultimate member of the ROG Phone 7 series comes with the AeroActive Cooler 7 out of the box. The next-generation external cooler now comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack. Additionally, it still features four tactile buttons and a subwoofer.
