Spotify has just announced a redesigned home screen that looks to help you discover new content like video podcasts, new songs, and other audio content.

The new design looks pretty similar to Instagram and TikTok with an image-heavy vertical scrolling layout. With this, the company CEO Daniel Ek hopes to attract over 50 million creators to the platform.

The new home screen will now feature auto-playing video podcasts and large photos with more information on the playlists and podcasts. However, the top section will still have album and playlist covers but there will be Music or Podcasts & Shows section to access the vertically scrolling feed.

The new feed will also let you preview songs and playlists quicker to understand what it is. It also gives you more opportunities to discover new content on the app.

The company is looking to be the leading audio platform. In addition to the fresh home screen experience, the company recently announced its AI-powered DJ feature.
