A new version of the OPPO A98, carrying model number CPH2529, has been certified by Thailand’s NBTC, bringing it one step closer to being released outside of China.
In November, an OPPO smartphone holding model code PHQ110 and thought to be the A98 5G was received certified by China’s TENAA.

Except for verifying the 5G connection, the Thai certifying body says little regarding the CPH2529. We do, however, already know what the Chinese version will have the courtesy to TENAA.
The Chinese OPPO A98 will include a 2.2GHz octa-core processor, a 6.7″ FullHD+ curved AMOLED display, and a fingerprint scanner for biometric verification beneath the screen.
The device will have up to 512GB of storage and 12GB of RAM. It will be powered by a 4,690 mAh battery and have three cameras: a 108MP main camera, a 2MP depth/macro camera, and a 16MP selfie camera.
