Samsung Galaxy S23 Now Official: Compact is Back!

With the advent of video streaming services, big screens have become the norm for smartphones as these allow users to have a great viewing experience. For some people though, having all the power of a flagship smartphone in a more compact-sized device that you can easily use with one hand, is perfection. That is where the new Samsung Galaxy S23 comes in – unveiled at the brand’s Unpacked event.

Galaxy S23 has a 6.1-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a refresh rate that can go up to 120Hz, 240Hz touch sampling rate in game mode, and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. At its helm is no less than a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor along with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.

For its cameras, you get the same setup as the Galaxy S23 Plus – that means a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide unit, a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 12MP front snapper. Of course, you also get improvements in imaging performance that is expected with the new generation of the Galaxy S series.

The device runs One UI 5.1 on top of Android 13 and packs a 3,900mAh battery with support for 25W wired fast-charging, Fast Wireless Charging 2.0, and Wireless Power Share.
