According to a report from The Verge, Microsoft is preparing to showcase how a new ChatGPT-like AI will transform its productivity apps like Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Microsoft Office with ChatGPT AI Technology?

According to reports, GPT models have been tested in Outlook to help improve search results as well as to help suggest replies to emails. Additionally, it was tested in Word to help improve users’ writing such as correct grammar and suggest alternative words and phrases.

The company uses is already using its new OpenAI model-based Prometheus Model to help transform Bing web searches. Its next step is to introduce the technology to its core Office apps as well as Teams to showcase their progress in AI.

The report claims that Microsoft is looking to share its integration of OpenAI’s languange AI technology as well as its Prometheus Model in the coming weeks.

The tech giant aims to seize the opportunity to be the leader in AI throughout the year. However, it has stiff competition as Google has also made moves in the AI space.
