Report: Apple Orders OLED Panels For the iPad Pro Arriving in 2024

Korean sources revealed that Apple has ordered OLED panels to be equipped on iPad Pros and MacBook Pros starting in 2024.

In addition, the tipsters mentioned that these OLED-equipped 11-inch and 12.9-inch tablet is expected to arrive by 2024 while laptops are expected to land on shelves in 2026.

Apple is using LCD for the current iPad Pro 11 and iPad Pro 12.9 tablets. However, the new OLED panels and still in development and have a limited manufacturing scale that will take some time to gain momentum for final assembly. This will be the same for the MacBook Pro 2026 model.

According to the report, the majority of these OLED panels may come from Samsung Display and LG Display as they are both currently supplying panels for iPhones. 

The push for OLED panels by the American company is to make these devices more competitive in price.
